My name is Joan Malé, i was born in 1972,i live in a little town near the sea called St. Martí d'Empúries, in L'Escala, and this site is dedicated to my music and photographic projects.

IMAGINARY NONEXISTENT RECORDS:
Born in september 2006 to create a platform to release my own music, and connect with other artists and labels, also as platform for them. You can visit the site here: www.inrecs.com.The label was originally conceived to release that strange round things called cds, but in the future probaly will be in mp3 with a limited amount of cd's availiable in my shop.

MONOCEROS:
Is my project for "IDM" and actually moving to new terrains for me like post-rock, using more instruments (electric and acoustic guitars, bass, drums, field recordings etc.). My first release under monoceros name was on Expanding Records, then i played in many places including Sonar festival, London, Finland, and actually working on a new album for 2008.

5ALAD:
is my project for electro-pop, also "IDM", 8 bit inspired sounds and dance floor tunes.I released my first 3 ep's a bit late (some music was done on 2004-2005) on my label, basically on digital format with a few cdr's. My first 5alad demo was done in 2001, and it's probably the origin of Monoceros.

DARK.SINUS.WAVE:
It's a new project with the idea of using only sounds from the same source to make music, texture, remix, and looking for new ways to learn new things for me. It's time for field recordings late at night and policemen asking me if i'm lost or i need some kind of help.
First release will be FREEWAY.DATA, using the sounds of the wheels of my car running over the soundtracks of the freeway.

.EXE:
is my project for dancefloor music, i released my 12" in 2001 under the name Lumière (with Xavi Lloses), then i moved to new projects, but i still like to make some gigs and music for fun. EXE first release was a 12" on the BCN label Dpress, and it sounds from electro to click-house and i released to new tracks only in digital.

LUMIÈRE:
House project started in 2000 by Xavi Lloses and me, we made a 12" in 2001 and played in many clubs, like la Terrazza, Bongo lounge, Salsitas, Festival de Jazz de Girona, music for a TV spot (Hotel Axel 2004), etc... We done also some gigs with a guitar player (Àlex Rigol) and a persussionist (Yago Delàs). Then i made some tracks as Lumière alone and done music for commercial purposes, selling some tracks to Clippers. But i was more focused on other projects, near all music is in downloads section.

OTHER:
I played guitar and bass in some bands but the most important for me was Tilt! and Masai Mara (1995), playing in many places around catalonia, then i started to listen electronic music and i buyed my first pentium 100 in 1997, doing some music with other names, "The real Van Gogh" and "Junkie Guateque" (LEM 2001), releasing some music in little labels like Mínim (run by Jordi Mitjà and Dídac p. Lagarriga), and doing some techno with Dj. Man-l at the end of 90' playing in La Sala Del Cel, Rachdingue, Moog...
